One of the files that "VGreetings-Thief.esp" is dependent on has changed since the last save. One of the files that "VGreetings-Hit.esp" is dependent on has changed since the last save. and then I fired it up and an error message popped up, saying a data file is dependent on a second one and it instructed me to check out 'warnings.txt' for details.

But instead of going straight for the better bodies, etc mods, I decided to install V-Greetings.

The game is installed and patched (code patch and unofficial patch both) perfectly. There's a lot you can do, but just for starters, I think I've listed everything. Most people use at least one graphics mod, I use Visual Pack Complete (available on Planet Elder Scrolls). They're all simply found with Google (I don't have links on hand, sorry).ĥ) There are plenty.

The latest few releases have had poor bug-checking and generally are broken, so 161, 126-fixed and 118 are the ones you want to go with for the best feature/bug ratios (those are nominally stable and generally pretty bug-free).Ĥ) Better Bodies, Better Clothes and a couple Better Armor mods are must-haves, really. I have a few issues with it, but I can verify that svn118 works. I'd recommend MGE, svn 161, it's said to be the latest stable copy. You can get a few different copies, but it's the last thing to install. The latest beta looks to be here: Ģ) The latest code patch is 1.8, you can find links in the code patch thread on this forum or anywhere else, really.ģ) MGE is a middle/high-end graphics thingy that adds shaders to the game, as well as a few other features. Morrowind feels like an unfinished game, and unfortunately the Mods are many and varied and there's no way to tell what's really important and what's just novelty. I know this is a lot, but I just want to sit down and play and not have to worry about the correct version of everything and where's this and that. I don't want NEW stuff added (yet - but I am open to suggestions if certain Mods are considered a necessity), I just want the mods that make what is there BETTER looking and more up-to-date with today's graphics.ĥ) Finally, what Mods out there are considered must-haves? What is the latest version? Should I install it before or after the patches?Ĥ) Better Bodies, compatible clothing and armor, et cetera. Is it 1.8? This one I found in TES Nexus (but the Nexus is missing the Unofficial Patch for some reason).ģ) Better Graphics? I read somewhere about MGE. I tried 1.6.4 in Planet Elder Scrolls but the file is missing.Ģ) The latest Code Patch. Here's what I want:ġ) The lastest unofficial patch (in some pages I read 'unofficial patch', in others I read 'patch project'). And trust me, I've tried finding answers elsewhere, but the broken links and out-of-date references made it even worse.Ĭurrently, I have a fresh unaltered installation of Morrowind GOTY edition. I don't mean to impose on you or anything like it, but it's way too hard to find the right/latest patches, etc.
